    Abandoned (Haunted) Hotel in Colombia

The Hotel del Salto is located near Tequendama Falls on the Bogotá River in Colombia. It was opened in 1924 and shut its doors in the 1990′s. The hotel’s Gothic design is perfectly enhanced by a river and waterfall. Some say the hotel is haunted and no one wanted to stay there. Others state that the adjoining river was extremely polluted and they had to close. For whatever reason, the hotel stands as a beautifully macabre landmark for lovers of classic architecture, urban exploration, and maybe a few ghosts.

Bronze Cable Holder is a minimalist design created by RISD student Kebei Li. These little casted bronze cubes are designed to prevent cables from falling from your tabletop. Using the miracle of suction cup tape, which consists of thousands of micro-scale suction cups, the cable holders can stick to almost any surface without leaving residues.

    feather sculptures by kate mccgwire

london-based sculptor kate mccgwire has created a new collection of feather sculptures including ‘guile’, ‘lure’, ‘seer’, ‘quell’, and ‘yearn’. each piece is a winding and lively, yet, frozen shape formed from plumage, making her body of work seem at once both graceful and deadly. the fantastical forms are made from thousands of wing and tail feathers gathered from many birds including those of pigeon, magpie, goose, teal, pheasant, duck and woodcock, collected and sent by mail from farmers and pigeon racers.
